Camoflaged BSA Bantam

Fed up of being cornered by wax jacketed, flat capped rivet counters at motorcycle shows, pointing out that the rear turnion flange on his bike was out of period by six months and that he should be ashamed of himself, ex military man Doug decided to 'generate some debate' and do something 'different' with his Bantam.  Influenced by the classic German camo designs of WWII, he decided on a modern desert colour scheme using chickens as the disruptive camo pattern.

You did read that correctly - yes, over 2000 chickens of various shades were painted onto the bike, along with 10 Dodo's to make things that little bit more fun.

The BSA logo on the rear of the bike was given a union jack backgroud, the cockeral on the side panels was influenced from a greetings card that Doug found whilst out shopping one day, and to top things off, the original BSA '3 rifles' logo was redesigned to incorporate an 1980's pattern L1A1 SLR rifle and helmet as a memorial to a fallen comrade.

It's great fun, slightly nuts, and proof that you don't need your custom project to be a 2500cc fire-breathing monster for it to be very cool and to stand out from the crowd.
